June Photo Drop, Part 1

I can't figure out how to divide June into separate posts, and I don't want to do a GIANT post, so this month will have two photo drops with no real theme.

Swaddle baby. I was kind of hoping he would hate swaddling so I wouldn't have to wean him off of it, but he is just like Norah was. And I have a feeling he, too, will be swaddled far longer than is I want.

Doing some more scootering.

As you can see, she still has some learning to do. Notice when she turns and spits? She definitely learned that from her daddy.

Newborn smiles! (Also just like Norah as a newborn, he didn't have the best skin. It's all cleared up now, though.)

His look here just kills me. And those dimples look huge!

We got to attend cousin Skyler's baptism at the beginning of June, and Grandma and Poppa Nelson flew in for the occasion, where they met Jack for the first time.

I'm sorry to say that this is the first picture we have of our family of four. We forgot to get one of those at the hospital and then never got around to it afterwards, either.

All of the family at Skyler's baptism.

We took the obligatory "Poppa sleeping with grandchild" picture (there's one of these for just about every grandchild).

So stinkin' cute! This was her birthday present from Grandma and Poppa.

She couldn't (still can't) get enough of her baby brother. She wants to help all the time and doesn't want him to be asleep just so she can be around him.

Potty pictures because they're hilarious and I just had to.

The kiddos love their daddy time.

Haircut by the lovely Aunt Courtney. Love it!

Jack and Beck, future best cousin friends. Jack is one month old in this picture, and Beck is five months old. Yep, Jack is a giant. (And Beck is probably the happiest baby I've ever met.)

I was able to get together with one of my high school friends. She has a little girl almost exactly Norah's age, and they became instant friends - Norah now prays for her every night.

Ba ha ha ha ha! What a chunk and what a face!

I love this picture of Jack's cousins just crawling on Grandma's lap to adore him. No one can resist a new baby.

We helped my grandma and grandpa Fredrickson plant pumpkins for Halloween time. Last time we were at their house, we checked on their progress - looking much more like pumpkins now!

I absolutely love this picture. The zoo did Zoorassic Park where they had animatronic dinosaurs all around the park. You can tell from this picture that Norah was not a fan of the T-Rex at first. She flat our refused to look at it. Now, though, that's the first place she wants to go when we get there.

A rather less than willing Norah comparing herself to the gorillas.

Baby snores!

One month old (taken two days late). I had to rush these pictures, so they didn't turn out that great.

I was stuck, and I didn't mind one bit. It makes me sad when I realize he's pretty much too big to snuggle like this now.

And two final shots of this chub for now. It doesn't fee like June was all that long ago, but I cannot believe how much he has changed since these were taken!

Father's Day 2015

And here are some pictures from our Father's Day celebrations this year.

Norah did this questionnaire in nursery. I'd say it's pretty accurate, at least the questions she actually answered. (My favorite, and perhaps the most telling, is "my dad is good at...")

After church, we went to my parents' house to celebrate the dads with a BBQ.

These three cousins were all born in the same year, and they have so much fun together. I don't know whose idea the "train" was, but they loved it.

We also had a water balloon toss for the dads. Norah did really well - didn't even pop the balloon. And, of course, there was absolutely no cheating.

I'm so glad I have this handsome devil to help me raise our two wonderful kids.

May Photo Drop

I only have four photos to put on this post, but they didn't fit anywhere else.

The Utah Jazz had a draft party at the Energy Solutions Arena, but I wasn't too thrilled about bringing a newborn to it. So, we had our own little party instead with an indoor picnic (don't you love our ghetto picnic blankets? So much easier to clean!). Rich working at Fanzz has really gotten us excited about all things Jazz - I don't think we've ever been more excited about a draft before.

Norah got a couple games for her birthday, and she has LOVED Cooties. She asks for it basically every day. (And, oh my goodness, our apartment looks like a disaster here! There was definitely a learning curve for me when Jack was born.)

Another birthday gift, this one from the Kirtleys. She loves her scooter, and doesn't she look adorable in her helmet?!

First real bath. The sponge bath stage, before the umbilical cord falls off, is the worst. I stink at it, and both of my babies have hated it. But, once they were able take a real bath, they have loved it.

Yeah, that's it for May. But I really wanted to get pictures up!

Goodbye, Wings!

So far behind. Must catch up.

I'm "watching" the BYU football game right now, so I think it's a good time to multi-task.

Right after Jack was born, the Wings decided to leave us and make their move to Phoenix, taking with them one of Norah's best friends in the world and perhaps the cutest, chubbiest baby ever.

Thanks a lot.

(Just kidding, Wings! Though, of course, we do really miss you guys.)

Due to some pretty crummy moving circumstances, we actually said goodbye to them twice. We sure are going to miss those guys!

This is from the first goodbye. Best cousin friends.

Oh my goodness, Jack was such a newborn here (although I can see that his newborn clothes were already getting small on him)! I can't believe how much he's grown, and that the Wings have already been gone for 3 months!

The second goodbye. I'm dying from all the cuteness!

And one last attempt to get a selfie with all of us.
Nailed it.

We're still missing you guys a ton here, but we know Phoenix is lucky to have you!
